Srinagar marks Baisakhi festival with prayers

Srinagar, India, Apr 14 (EFE/EPA).- Sikh devotees marked Baisakhi on Tuesday by offering prayers at a gurdwara in Srinagar, one of the most important festivals in Sikhism.

The celebration commemorates the formation of the Khalsa by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 and marks the Sikh New Year, observed with religious devotion and festivities. (Camera: FAROOQ KHAN).
