Obviously, that's a lot—it's a significant sum—but in the Claude Monet market, there are paintings that can sell for 100,000,000 euros.” 3.- “They are in their original condition. The canvas is original; if we turn them over, the stretcher is original. They have never been repainted, so it is very, very, very rare to find paintings that are 100, 120 years old and look as if they were painted the day before yesterday.”4.- “This painting has never been reproduced in color. This is the first time the public can come and see these blues, these greens, all these plays of light.”5.- “The fact that they are preserved in perfect condition is something very, very rare. I have 25 years of experience at Sotheby’s, and I have rarely seen Impressionist paintings that look so fresh.”6.- “Here you have a painting just as Monet painted it on his boat.”
