Carlos Cuerpo says IMF–Venezuela normalization could be formalized “in days”

Washington, Apr 16 (EFE).– Spain’s First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Carlos Cuerpo, said this Thursday that the normalization of relations between the International Monetary Fund and Venezuela could be announced within days.

Translation:

“Spain has supported this from the very beginning. We were among the first countries to do so. The normalization of relations between the Fund and Venezuela would help, among other things, to normalize the situation in the country. I believe we will reach the necessary majority for this to happen. I cannot give you an exact timeline, but I think that during these days of the assemblies we should know the outcome.”
