Residents of gas explosion-damaged building protest in Bucharest
BUCHAREST (Romania), 17/04/2026.- Residents affected by a gas leak explosion in 2025 look at their homes for the first time since the accident during a protest near an apartment building damaged in a gas leak explosion in the Rahova neighborhood of Bucharest, Romania, 17 April 2026. The building was damaged in a gas leak explosion on 17 October 2025, in which at least three people died and at least 17 were injured, while dozens of apartments and vehicles were destroyed.
