Pride celebrations begin in Miami Beach amid claims of "attacks" on LGBTQ+ rights

Miami, US, Apr 2 (EFE).- Miami Beach, a cornerstone of the LGBTQ+ community in the United States, began its Pride Month celebrations on Thursday amid warnings from activists that the community is "under attack."

Organizers of Miami Beach Pride, which expects to draw 170,000 people over the next ten days, opened the festivities on Lincoln Road with sharp criticism of recent Florida laws banning diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs. (Camera: ALBERTO BOAL).
