ENRIQUE BUNBURY

Bunbury: If they offer me to perform in Japan I'll put money from my own pocket

Madrid, April 16 (EFE).- During a particularly prolific period, which he calls his “Woody Allen era,” referring to the time when the film director released a movie every year, Bunbury is releasing a new album, 'De un siglo anterior', in which he continues his exploration of Latin American tradition and reflects in his lyrics on what has been accomplished and what remains to be done.

SOUNDBITES OF ENRIQUE BUNBURY:

Bunbury: “And it went really well. It was a fresh start again, yes, a chance to start over because, well, I don’t play venues in Spain or in Latin America, and honestly, it’s nice to start over somewhere new every once in a while in your career. I’m still eager to start over in Japan and Russia.”

Journalist: “And when will you do that?”

Bunbury: “That’s what I’m asking myself, because I’m running out of time. But I would really like to—I’d love to. They’re offering me a small tour tomorrow of super-small, tiny clubs in Japan, and I’d jump at the chance and put money in from my own pocket.”
