Displaced people return to southern Lebanon without planning to stay

Nabatieh (Lebanon), Apr. 17 (EFE).- Following the entry into force of a ceasefire with Israel at midnight on Thursday, Jaber returned to his home in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, but he did so without the rest of his family and with the initial intention of staying for only eight days, distrustful of the durability of this truce.

For now, he will focus on clearing his home of broken glass and debris left behind by the bombings in the city, avoiding making plans beyond the ten days that the ceasefire is expected to last, like many others among the more than one million people displaced by the conflict.
